All Battlefield Redsec Missions And How To Complete Them

All Battlefield Redsec Missions And How To Complete Them

There are plenty of ways to earn loot in Battlefield Redsec. Whether you go around looting every chest across Fort Lyndon, pick up loot off enemy players, or find a custom weapon drop, your inventory should be kitted out fairly quickly after dropping into a match. However, one of the easiest and most lucrative ways to score some loot in Redsec is by completing missions.

Every team in Redsec is given three dedicated missions to complete right after a match begins. You can also find missions to complete scattered across the map. These missions reward you with loot and some exclusive rewards, such as Vehicle Keycards that you can use to drive a tank. The mission descriptions can often be confusing, though, so allow us to explain how to complete each individual mission in Redsec.

For starters, you can view your team’s three random missions by waiting for around a minute after landing on the map. Then, you can click your mini-map button to see the three missions you can complete. You can only complete one mission at a time, and new missions are scrambled every minute. So if you’re looking for a specific reward, waiting for new missions instead of trying to complete ones you don’t want is the way to go.

In total, eight missions are available to players in Redsec. The three missions that every team receives at the start of a match are random, though, so you need to learn how to complete all eight if you want to maximize your loot potential. You also want to understand each mission in case you come across one that rewards you with a Redsec tank unlock or a custom weapon drop.

A majority of the missions in Redsec can be completed in a single area of the map, but a couple do require you to hunt down an enemy player or vehicle somewhere else in Fort Lyndon. The missions where you’re hunting something also mean that you yourself will be marked on the map, so there’s an inherent risk with those specific missions.

Below, you can see every mission’s name and description in Redsec:

Mission Name Mission Description
Signal Hack You need to align marked antennae on your map to decrypt data and hack the radio signal. You can do this by interacting with the antennae and moving them vertically and horizontally until both meters are at 100%.
Weapons Cache Find bolt cutters marked on the map and use them to open a weapons cache that’s also marked on your map. The weapons cache contains plenty of valuable loot for you and your team.
Demolition Crew Loot a bomb and plant it on an objective that’s marked on your map. Other teams can come along to defuse the bomb, so you need to defend the area until the bomb explodes. Your rewards come after the bomb explodes.
Marked Activating the mission marks one of your teammates so that nearby teams can see their location. You need to destroy the enemy’s surveillance system in the area as quickly as possible, which includes tiny tracking devices.
High Value Assets You’ll see three marked areas on your map. You need to stand inside the areas for a certain amount of time to capture each one. Enemies can come along to stop your progress if they also stand inside the marked area.
Data Extraction You need to collect data from a marked location on your map. With the data, place it onto a data drive that you received and then bring it to an extraction drone nearby. Enemy teams can steal the data drive from you.
Headhunter Activating the mission targets a high-value enemy target on the map. You can see this target’s general location, and you need to eliminate them before the timer runs out to receive your rewards.
Tank Hunter Activating the mission targets an enemy ground vehicle on the map. You’re given anti-vehicle gear to take out the target, but you can also steal the vehicle to complete the mission in addition to destroying it.

Those are all of the possible missions in Battlefield Redsec. Around half of them come with some form of PvP risk, and half come with some sort of counter mission that can be completed by nearby or targeted enemies.

It’s important to know when to activate certain missions in Redsec, as trying to complete the wrong one at the wrong time can easily result in your squad being wiped from the match. Ideally, you want to try to complete easier missions early on to build up some decent loot. This then gives you the ability to take on harder missions with PvP risk. Of course, if you see a mission that has a vehicle keycard or custom weapon drop as rewards, you’ll probably want to complete those as quickly as possible.
